Do you observe Ember Days? It is a beautiful tradition.
Ember Days are prescribed in the Traditional Catholic Church as days of fast and abstinence, the purpose of which is to Pray, Fast, and to Thank God for the gifts he gives through nature. Four times a year, (Quatuor Tempora – Four Seasons) on a successive Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday we celebrate Jejunia Quatuor Temporum – the fast of the four seasons. In Catholic Tradition Ember Days dates back to the Apostles.
