In the first place our Lord Jesus Christ is the King of kings. He is not just the “King of the Jews”; He is the king of all that exists. Nothing exists that does not come from Him, through Him and for Him. He is the law giver; He executes the laws and He will judge us according to the works of the law. We have the freedom to sin but it bears darkness into our lives and
the happiness we desire escapes us. Much like the new car dealer who sells us a vehicle; he presents us with the keys and with a manual. That manual is presented to help us enjoy the car and preserve it. The dealer does not hate us by giving us the rules of the car; instead he wants you to be happy with the purchase. So our King offers us the human manual to receive the most out of our life here in this world. After we complete our test in this life He will be there to judge our correspondence to the Truth He gives us.
Following the Kingship is the Priesthood of the Lord. In His eternal Priesthood our Lord is both offerer and offered; He is the Priest and the Victim. In this dual role Our Lord offers Himself in Truth that He might beget in us the Love that sets us free. Truth and Love unite in the Eternal Priest to bring about a motivation to discipline and sacrifice in our own lives. In the holy sacrifice of the Mass we are reminded that Our Lord does not come and go. Instead He is forever with us but in the Mass it is in an unbloody manner. Now we are called to shed our blood in daily sacrifices and discipline in order to pay the price for other souls as Jesus has purchased us with His Blood. This leads us to the third aspect of the Personality of Jesus.
In the Greek text of St. Paul’s letter to the Philippians Jesus is a doulos, a slave. To whom is the Lord a slave? He is our slave for He takes up the dirty work of cleansing our hearts of the sins we have committed. As a slave He humbles Himself to give us an example. All Truth comes down to this activity: humbling oneself in the sacrifice of our pride, our lust, our greed, our sloth, our anger. This Truth overwhelms all the world because it is a challenge to accept the humble footsteps of the Master in order to arrive at the Kingdom of God.
Consider the spectacle we are witnessing today in the Church of Nice. Homosexuality runs contrary the Sixth commandment of God. It is an erroneous manner of living and will objectively speaking lead that soul to hell. Archbishop Vigano has in conscience exposed that hierarchical structure of the Church as morally bankrupt. Sodomy is odious to the Lord and brings down God’s wrath upon this world. We have witnessed floods in New Orleans in order to stop a Gay Parade there. Many of our natural disasters are nothing more than warnings and punishments from God Who is witnessing the failure of so many souls to bow down before the King of kings. They choose to make themselves little gods who cry for their will to be done.
“They have uncrowned Him!” cried out Archbishop Lebevre. He is right and he speaks the Truth for he is an ambassador of the King of kings. If the hierarchy does not lead us to Christ then let the children take the lead and bring us in procession back to the Lord Who has created us for happiness with Him. President Trump has called us to be winners and we cannot do better than win heaven and union with the One Who loves us truly and purchased us for the Kingdom.
When we achieve the goal of Truth then we shall certainly be free. When we unite Truth with its greatest expression, sacrifice, then we will be in love with all that God has created. Truth and Love unite in the King of kings and calls us to share a life of grace and reject the deceits of the “one who grasped at equality with God.”
Viva Cristo Rey!
In the hearts of Jesus, Mary and Joseph,
