Sixth Sunday After Pentecost 2020

In the course of our Lord’s public life twice He multiplied loaves and fishes to feed the multitudes. First, there was the multiplication of 5 loaves and two fish among the 5000 with clear references to the Jewish nation. Second, a multiplication of seven loaves and a few fish among the 4000 with clear references to the Gentiles. In our reflection upon these events we will come to certain conclusions which may help us understand the state of our world today.

Consider the numerical references as helps to understanding the work of our Savior. Five loaves is a clear indication of the Jews receiving the Pentateuch, the first five books of the old testament. The two fish refer to the prophets and the patriarchs who look forward in anticipation of the Savior. When St. Peter began preaching the risen Christ he brought 5000 to the faith which perfects the Jewish vision of God. The men were gathered together and sat on the grass for they were the chosen race from which the Savior entered our world. The grass represents the fleeting pleasures of this world which in the end would be the undoing of the Mosaic covenant. The Jew is the first to receive the Son of God and then break every law of the covenant in relation to Him.

Consequently, the Lord would go to the Gentiles and He would feed them with the seven loaves and a few fish. The Gentiles would simply sit on the ground not the grass because they would seek the kingdom of God and forsake the deceitful pleasures of the world, the flesh and the devil. The Gentile would number 4000 meaning they would come from the four corners of the earth to listen to the Gospel. The seven loaves teaches us that the gifts of the Holy Ghost would inform our lives of grace. The Gentiles would develop the three theological virtues of faith, hope and charity.

In the feeding of the Jews, Jesus Himself gives the food to the Israelites but they would wish to make Him a Bread King. They would not recognize the divinity evident by the multiplication of the food. On the other hand, the Gentile would receive the grace to stay with Jesus and be healed of all earthly cares and concerns. They came from a distance because they did not possess the law and the prophets. They recognized the humanity of Christ by His concern for their eternal welfare and perceived the divinity of Christ in the multiplication of the loaves.

Now down to the mystery which is present and rarely understood. Everyone of us witnesses the multiplication of the divine sacrament throughout the world. Our Lord’s compassion is known by all who approach him. We are all healed of our infirmities in the divinity which uses everything to teach us to accept God’s love even in distressing times. The most Blessed Sacrament proclaims the truth that God is always with us and will conquer every problem through our quest to remain faithful to Him and His teaching. The touchstone of fidelity is our union with Jesus in the multiplication of the Bread of Life.

When a virus came our way, what did we do? When the news media spreads its fear, how did we react? When the Fauci phonies of the medical world called for masks and social distancing, did we fall into their trap? What did the Church of Accompaniment do when the wisdom of the left told them to shut down the churches? Did they abandon you? Where are you today with the Blessed Sacrament and the Judas church that Archbishop Vigano rightly calls a “parallel church”. We have bishops removing priests because they speak up and call BLM a crew of maggots feeding on the faithful and sowing a guilt trip that belongs only to them.

All that has happened is found in the Zionist plan to subjugate all mankind to the lordship of Lucifer. Will you go along with this new “order”? No, then why no outcry from the Vatican II faithful over the restrictions the world has put on their New Order worship? If we do not wake up and obey the plan of God for our peace and consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary then we will witness Satan’s vengeance on us all…civil war with the blacks vs. whites, the masked vs. unmasked, every division we can imagine. It will be neighbor against neighbor and peace will not come through this horror. Turn to Our Lady and pray more rosaries each day to protect your children and your home. Time is of the essence now and we must prepare ourselves to stand against the evil one and proclaim Christ as our Eternal Priest and King.

In the hearts of Jesus, Mary and Joseph,

Fr. Richard Voigt
